Tip: How and When Do You Appeal?

If you disagree with a citation or penalty from the California Community Care Licensing Division, you have the right to file an appeal. It is important, of course, to try and resolve issues directly with your licensing program analyst (LPA), but if you are unsuccessful, file your appeal with the supervisor listed on the licensing report. Appeals must be made in writing, within 10 days from the date you received the report or penalty assessment notice.

For more information on appeals and citations see the following regulations:

87755-87769 (RCFE)

80051-80059 (ARF and Group Home)
