Your Reputation is Important

The National Center for Assisted Living’s newsletter, NCAL connections, published data in their June 13, 2008 edition on why a resident chooses or a family member selects a particular facility for care of their loved one. The survey was conducted in 2007 by My InnerView, through its partnership with NCAL.

Below are the results of the survey:

Location:  35%
Good reputation:  27%
Relative referral:  12%
Physician referral:  6%
Other:  20%

Take the location of your facility and draw a 5 mile radius.  That is your target market.  While beautiful collateral marketing materials, ads, mailers, etc. can draw customers, the survey shows that your good reputation must be in place and is nearly as important as your location.
