Forty-two percent of assisted living residents have Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. As a care provider you understand the importance of finding ways to manage and prevent the disease.

Leaders Engaged in Alzheimer’s Disease (LEAD)–a national network of over 20 organizations serving persons affected by Alzheimer’s–is leading a petition to send a clear message to our political leaders of the urgent need to continue supporting research into treatment and prevention, and to ask them to fulfill the commitment if the National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease.

  1. My great aunt and my mom had alzheimer’s. There were days when we could laugh and just make the most of the days, but there were too many days of dispair. My dad had cancer at the time, and mom left the house. He was frantic and not doing well enough to cope. Even through such great loss, I had to thank God that he took them both at the same time.

  2. Thanks for sharing this post to us! Yeah! Always thank God!
