New CCL Policy on Orientations

Community Care Licensing has updated their policy on attending “orientation” prior to submitting a facility license application.  Under the new policy licensees who have attended an orientation in the past do not have to attend one again when submitting a new application:

“Only those that have never attended an orientation for the specific facility category are required to attend. Current licensees that are relocating to a new site, changing the type of ownership (i.e. individual to Limited Liability Partnership), or expanding by opening another facility, do NOT need to attend a new orientation. The intent of the orientation is to provide information about licensing, specific regulations for the applicable facility type, and the application process. Only one person needs to attend for any entity applying for a license.”

The full policy can be found in the RCFE Evaluator Manual and the General Licensing Requirements Evaluator Manual.
