Have You Reviewed the Health and Safety Code?

Every Administrator has reviewed and is familiar with Title 22 Regulations governing the operation of his/her community. However, you should also be familiar with the actual Health and Safety Code that the regulations are based on.

When a new Assembly or Senate bill is passed and becomes law, it changes the Health and Safety Code. However, due to the lengthy process involved in writing corresponding regulations, many changes that have already been made in Health and Safety Code do not yet appear in Regulations.

So to always be aware of the current and complete DSS/CCLD requirements, you must review both Title 22 Regulations and the Health and Safety Code.
