CARF Seeking Public Comment on Proposed Aging Services Standards

The Aging Services Customer Service Unit of CARF, including the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, is updating and streamlining some of the current standards and program descriptions specific to continuing care retirement communities, assisted living, adult day services, and person-centered long term care nursing home communities.

The proposed revisions reflect the work of the International Standards Advisory Committees (ISACs), comprised of providers, consumers, payers, and other experts in the respective program areas from around the world.

Providers, residents, family, governance, and any other interested parties are invited to provide their input on these proposed standards revisions. The goal of the public comment period is to collect the greatest diversity of feedback possible to ensure that the standards are relevant to the field.
