Summer is Here: Watch Out For Heatstroke and Heat Exhaustion

Today being the first official day of summer is a good reminder to all of us to watch for signs of heat-related emergencies in our residents.  Because of physiological changes and possible disease processes, your residents are at a greater risk for both heatstroke and heat exhaustion.

The American Red Cross has good info available on their website.  Click here to download their free handout: How to Recognize and Treat Heat Emergencies.
