  2. Josh,
I hope you are doing well. Thanks for the reminder.
Question: Do employees who earned more then $10.00 already also get an increase?
Thank in advance for your help in this matter,

    Sister Elia

  3. Labor law posters, we own four small communities, do we have to post those
expensive posters or can we have them sign that those posters are in one site

Do they have to sign a form that explains the minimum wage?

  4. Posters in all facilities?

  5. Helen,
If you are actually working 12 hours per day 5 days a week and only receive a flat rate of $1600 a month, then you are only getting paid about $6.67 per hour. You are underpaid and not receiving over time hours. I’m quite certain, that is against the law. Talk to your employer, or better yet, talk to labor board.

  6. Hello Sister Elia! No, if they employee’s pay is already higher than minimum wage, you do do not have to increase it. There are some exceptions if they are on a an exempt salary.

Helen… No, I don’t believe that pay would cover the minimum wage nor overtime requirements.

  7. Sonia… Good question about the posters. They must be accessible to every employee in the workplace. So they need to be in all of your RCFEs.

  8. What about split shift

  9. As part of compensation for live-in caregivers, how much is the cost of lodging & meals per day in La Jolla. CA? Does the location of the facility affect the cost of lodging & meals?

  10. Hello…anybody who can answer my query re cost of meals & lodging for caregivers? Would appreciate input…thanks!
