Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Prevention

Community Education is very excited to offer our participants new online courses as they are available. Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation was just recently approved for 2 hours of continuing education credit. Unlimited Access members can now access this course with their annual membership. We will continue to develop quality courses to meet your professional development.

The Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Prevention course continuing education credits are approved by both the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) for staff in assisted living facilities and by the California Department of Social Services for staff in group home and adult residential facilities.

Course Description: This course introduces the student to information regarding various aspects and types of abuse, neglect, and exploitation in residential settings for children, adults, and the elderly. Types of abuse, neglect, and exploitation are defined, described, and discussed within this course. Indicators of potential situations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation will be identified, and preventative methods demonstrated.
