I started to cry when I found out this event had passed without my knowledge of it.
I am desperately trying to find understanding of this disease so I may be a better caregiver to my mother..
Do you know of any support groups in the South Bay area?
I did find one -but they only recommend respite care. I want to be there with my mom , not have someone else take my place!
Hello Diana. I would recommend contacting the Alzheimer’s Association Southland Chapter. They have several support groups and/or can point you in the right direction. We do lots of work with them, and have found them to be an amazing resource. Their website: http://www.alz.org/socal/in_my_community_support.asp
